Jack van der Velde, HR Technology – future or now? Regional VP APAC, Unit4
Jack was appointed to lead the business for Unit4’s Asia Pacific operations in July 2014. Based in Singapore, he is responsible for the company’s regional strategy and expansion plans to become the vendor of choice for people-centric industries. This entails accelerating and strengthening the company’s ecosystem. Jack is a strong believer that people productivity is the main driver for economic growth and advocates that consumer like business software which produces tangible business outcome will overtake the traditional market.
Previously located in the Netherlands, Jack was instrumental in Unit4’s transformation to become the world’ leading SaaS based SRP vendor and held responsibility for the company’s global cloud delivery and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) operation. He studied Global and Integrated Leadership at INSEAD and held several technology leadership positions at private and public technology companies prior to joining Unit4.
Emmanuel Cruoy, Co-Founder & CEO, GrabJobs
Emmanuel Crouy is the co-founder of GrabJobs, a mobile-first jobs platform that aims to revolutionize recruitment in South East Asia with proprietary chatbots that automate the recruitment process.He is passionate about technology and innovation and constantly strives to find solutions to real world problems.
Emmanuel graduated from McGill University with a BSc. degree in Computer Science. He started his career as a Software Developer in Singapore before making a career switch as a Recruitment Consultant. Shortly after he co-founded Aster Lion, a recruitment firm, with Mark Melo. It was his mixed background in Technology, Recruitment and Entrepreneurship that led him to conceive GrabJobs.
Chee Tung Leong, CEO, EngageRocket
CheeTung is committed to bring the same level of analytics, sophistication, and scientific rigour to managing people as is currently applied to managing finance and customers. He is the CEO of EngageRocket, an HR tech startup that helps to automate employee feedback and analytics to deliver management insight, improving employee experience and performance.
Before becoming an entrepreneur, CheeTung was Regional Director of Gallup in Southeast Asia. He read Economics at the University of Cambridge, and has an MA in Political Science from Columbia University under the Singapore Armed Forces Overseas Scholarship (SAFOS). EngageRocket has been named one of 20 Hottest Startups in 2018 by the Singapore Business Review, and has been featured in multiple outlets like Forbes, Bloomberg, Channel Newsasia, Tech In Asia, The Straits Times, The Business Times, NewsRadio 93.8, Money FM, Berita Harian, e2 7, DealStreet Asia, and others.
Jin Hian Lee, Founder & CEO, Evie

Jin graduated from Stanford University with BSc. & MSc. degrees in Electrical Engineering in 1999, and has spent fifteen years building and launching innovative mobile & Internet tech products on a global scale at companies like StarHub and Yahoo.
