The ins and outs on the Singapore Free Trade Agreement
Join us for an interesting breakfast session on the Free trade Agreement in Singapore!
During this breakfast session you will get to know more about the ins & outs of the Singapore Free Trade Agreement. A Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) is a treaty which makes trade and investment between two or more economies/companies easier. Singapore has an open economy which is driven by trade in goods and services. The European Union and Singapore have finished negotiating a Free Trade Agreement and an Investment Protection Agreement.
The agreement aims to:
- remove nearly all customs duties and get rid of overlapping bureaucracy
- improve trade for goods like electronics, food products and pharmaceuticals
- stimulate green growth, remove trade obstacles for green tech and create opportunities for environmental services
- encourage EU companies to invest more in Singapore, and Singaporean companies to invest more in the EU.

9:40 – 9:55 am – 3 Working groups animated by the 3 speakers. The audience will be split following its interest amongst the 3 topics to further continue the discussion and Q&A
9:55 – 10:00 am – Final Wrap-up BLBG Singapore/ADB-DutchCham
