Join the Breakfast Chat on Tuesday 14 May 2019 with Willem Middelkoop, who is a Dutch investor, publicist, entrepreneur and former TV market commentator for RTL (2001-2008).

From the middle of the 1990`s Willem Middelkoop invested in real estate and started to report on the economy and financial markets. In 2008 he launched a webshop for people who wanted to invest in physical gold and silver. This was sold three year later, after reaching 100 million in yearly sales, to a Dutch listed investment firm. 

He is one of the pioneers in “Discovery investing”, whereby in a very early stage investments in an exploration company are being made, after the start of a significant discovery. He is responsible for the impressive track-record, with dozens of takeovers in his Commodity Discovery Fund, founded in 2008 as well.

Willem Middelkoop has published seven books on financial and economic topics, which have been published in 8 different languages and has been sold over 150.000 times. In his first book (Als de dollar valt) he predicted the credit crisis. He is also a member of the London based OMFIF advisory network.
