As an industrial or logistic leader you need to navigate today’s fast-changing business landscape to stay efficient, deliver on-time, and win in the market. Drivers such as changing customer requirements, e-commerce channel shifts, and new competitors are influencing your strategic operational and investment decisions. So how do you best plan for the future of your business?
Digital Twins provide one answer to deliver valuable and actionable insight into your business operations and supply chains. By creating a digital replica of a physical entity – whether that’s an entire factory or a single process – it’s possible to bridge the physical and virtual worlds to allow for improved decision-making. Join us for a breakfast discussion on how some leading companies are using this core technology of the Industry 4.0 Revolution to gain new foresight previously not available to decision-makers.
Digital Twin Breakfast Session
The breakfast session will delve into what is predictive simulation and how this can be used to create highly visual and accurate digital twin models of dynamic, real-life assets, systems and processes to drive operational and investment decisions. When you’re able to test different options in a virtual world before deciding which path to take, you gain cost/benefit clarity across areas like capital investments, resource planning, and process design. We will look at cases of how digital twins can be used in a design environment to de-risk and optimize a facility layout and CAPEX investment before it is built and also how other companies have used this technology to improve existing operational throughput, reduce inventory and even improve service levels.
