Startups and Venture Capital are hot. In The Netherlands royals are supporting the growth of the ecosystem and so does the prime minister of Singapore. Amsterdam is home to largest co-workspace in Europe, One North is fast becoming the Silicon Valley of SouthEast Asia. So how are startups and investors connected? And how does fundraising actually work? The Financial Committee of ADB-DutchCham, The Startup Buddy , Technopreneur Circle by Vertex Ventures like to invite you to an evening where speakers and panellist from the industry will answer those and many more questions.

• Raising my startup funding byDamien CummingsFounder/CEO of PeopleWave, an HR platform solution for corporates based in Singapore and The Philippines

• The investor perspective by Singapore based VC’s and angels
  • Ad Ketelaars– ADB/DutchChamber members know him as our president. In his daily live Ad is the CEO of Spinta Pte Ltd which actively directly and indirectly invests in companies and VC funds like Cocoon Capital. Furthermore Ad is an active mentor for founders.
  • Hans de Back– Partner of Venture Capital fund Finch Capital which originated in The Netherlands. Finch Capital invests in fintech and deep tech companies and is very active in South East Asia, primarily Indonesia. Investments include GRAB, Cermati and BUX.
  • Sam Gibb– Founder and partner Endeavour Ventures, a very new sector agnostic fund based in Singapore with a specific interest and focus on the crypto economy.
  • BANSEA represented by Francois Dubrulle​ – BANSEA is Singapore’s oldest angel investor network and its members have invested in companies like Carousell and 99.co Francois will share more about being an angel investor and the network.Facilitator – Gerben Visser​ – Managing partner InQvest Partners which invests in FinTech companies in the US, Europe, Middle East and South East Asia. Gerben is also founder the FinTech Consortium and IncubAsia Ventures.

The evening is facilitated by Gerben Visser, investor, startup founder and active member of the tech community in Singapore. We close of the evening with plenty of time for Q&A and drinks. The evening will be in English.
