Piyush Gupta – Chief Executive Officer DBS Group
Mr. Piyush Gupta has been Chief Executive Officer and Director of DBS Group since 2009. Prior to joining DBS, Piyush had a 27 year career at Citigroup, where his last position was Chief Executive Officer for South East Asia, Australia and New Zealand.
Piyush is Vice-Chairman of the Institute of International Finance, Washington. In addition, he is a member of Singapore’s Advisory Council on the Ethical Use of AI and Data, McKinsey Advisory Council, Bretton Woods Committee – Advisory Council, and the World Business Council for Sustainable Development Executive Committee.
Piyush was named one of the world’s top 100 best-performing chief executives in Harvard Business Review – 2019 edition of “The CEO 100”. He was named Singapore Business Awards’ Outstanding Chief Executive of the Year in 2016. In 2014, he was named as the Singapore Business Leader of the Year by CNBC and in 2013, he was accorded the CEO Leadership Achievement Award for Singapore and Asia Pacific by The Asian Banker.
Tan Yong-Wah – Chief Information Officer – Hong Kong Monetary Authority
Mr. Tan Yong-Wah is the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Head of IT with the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA), the de facto central bank in Hong Kong SAR.
Yong-Wah has been with the HKMA for more than 25 years. He first joined HKMA in 1995 as the technical advisor for the implementation of the Real Time Gross Settlement (RTGS) system, and was later appointed to the post of CIO/Head of IT in 1999. Yong-Wah started his career in Singapore, working one year in DBS bank, then joined Banking Computer Services for 4 years and BCS Information Systems, a subsidiary company of BCS for 8 years.
