Deepali Bhargava, Head of Research and Chief Economist, APAC, at ING. Deepali joined ING in 2024 and is Head of Research and Chief Economist Asia-Pacific. She has over 20 years of work experience as a macro specialist covering rates, FX and equity markets across sell-side and buy-side firms. Prior to joining ING, she was a Director and Head of South Asia macro at Kohlberg Kravis Roberts (KKR). In addition, she has worked with several banks including Credit Suisse and ICICI Bank as an Asia Economist. Deepali has a Masters degree in Economics from Delhi School Of Economics, India.
Atem Ramsundersingh, is Founder, Chief Executive Officer and Board Director of WEnergy Global Pte Ltd headquartered in Singapore. WEnergy Global is a provider of renewable energy solutions i.e. solar, wind, blue-hydro, smart power distribution systems, including battery energy storage systems, including financing with innovative business model, currently recognized as one of the major quality investors and providers of hybrid-powered microgrids and hybrid power systems for existing local power grids. WEnergy Global is winner of the Singapore APEX Sustainability Award 2016 awarded by the Singapore Business Federation (SBF), the Dr Albert Winsemius Award 2016 and 2022 for Innovation and Sustainability awarded by the Dutch Chamber of Commerce of Singapore and winner of the Erasmus Energy Business Award 2014 awarded by the Erasmus Future Energy Business Center of the Rotterdam School of Management, The Netherlands.
Atem brings in over 30+ years of extensive international experience and knowledge about project and new business development in emerging economies with complex decision-making, regulatory and investment environments. He further brings in his extensive knowledge and experience in industrial manufacturing processes, supply chain and quality management, utility management, strategic management of operations, investment portfolio management, deal structuring and commercialization of businesses. He has a vast network of contacts in 80+ countries, including several multilateral agencies in the area of industry, energy, water and development finance. Atem is a former Senior Manager with the World Bank Group, Washington DC, USA, and a Program Director with the UNESCO-IHE Institute for Water and Environment, Delft, The Netherlands. Currently, he serves in the Board of Directors of the Global Water Partnership (GWP) in Stockholm as an Independent Board Director dealing with Global Water Security.
Atem holds a Masters’ Degree in Infrastructure Engineering at Delft University of Technology in The Netherlands and has been trained at the Harvard Business School in Corporate Renewal and Change Management and Cambridge University in Sustainable Industrial Leadership.
Dirkjan Van Den Boom, Regional Manager Asia at Boskalis
Adrian Lian, Head of Energy Sector Coverage APAC at ING Bank. Adrian Lian is the Asia Pacific Head of the Energy sector team at ING, based in Singapore. The Energy sector covers clients involved in the production, transport, handling, storage, distribution, and wholesaling of the energy (electrons and molecules) value chain. It comprises of three sub-sectors of (i) Renewables & Power, (ii) Utilities and (iii) Hydrocarbons & New Energies. Adrian joined ING in 2010, supporting clients with financing and advisory services in the energy space, with notable projects in offshore wind, energy storage, green hydrogen and LNG-to-power. He leads an Asia Pacific Energy team located in Singapore, Sydney, and Tokyo. Prior to ING, Adrian qualified as a chartered accountant working at KPMG and Ernst & Young. Adrian holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Hons) from the National University of Singapore (2001) and qualified with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants UK (ACCA) in 2006.
Martijn Hoogerwerf is Head of the Sustainable Solutions Group APAC at ING Bank. Based in Singapore, Martijn joined ING’s Sustainable Solutions Group in 2019 with over 10 years of experience in the sustainable finance markets, where he took on a variety of climate-related investment and advisory roles during this period. Prior to moving into the environmental finance space, Martijn spent over eight years in structured finance and strategy roles at Fortis/ABN Amro and focused on expanding its wholesale banking activities in Asia. He moved to Hong Kong in 2006 as part of his tenure with Fortis and has been in Asia for nearly 2 decades.
Martijn brings a unique blend of commercial banking knowledge, sustainability expertise, and APAC experience. He has been instrumental in ensuring sustainable finance is front and center in client facing functions, securing leading mandates, and driving the growth of ING’s Sustainable Solutions Group activities in APAC. Under Martijn’s leadership, ING has won multiple sustainable finance awards, including ‘Best Transition/Sustainability Linked Loan in APAC’ award by Global Finance in 2024. He is Chairman of ING’s APAC Sustainable Solutions Group Forum, a member of ING’s Sustainable Solutions Group Management Team and Sustainable Finance Quality Board. Martijn holds an MBA from IESE Business School in Barcelona/Spain and an MSc in Chemical Engineering from the University of Groningen, The Netherlands.
