Energy is vital to our global economy and modern ways of life. As we progress, the world will need more energy to power homes and fuel transport for a growing population with rising living standards. At the same time, climate change remains a serious concern as energy is the main contributor, producing around 60 per cent of greenhouse gases.
It is therefore imperative that we harness science and technology and our human ingenuity to discover cleaner energy for our sustainable future. The UN Sustainable Development Goal 7 emphasises the importance of investing in renewable energy sources, improving energy productivity, and ensuring energy for all. In Singapore, the Energy Market Authority (EMA) is spearheading efforts on research innovation, enterprise and development to enable more clean power, translate new ideas into market opportunities, and help build a vibrant energy ecosystem.
Join us as our panel of industry experts discuss the future of energy, innovations for decarbonising Singapore and the world, and the roles that corporates and startups could play to build a sustainable energy future for all.
