What makes Purpose Student Accommodation an attractive real estate investment and particularly in Iberia?
Student Housing, or now commonly known as Purpose Built Student Accommodation (PBSA) has been an attractive asset class for institutions and pension funds to invest into for some time now. IP Investment Management, one of ADB-DutchCham corporate members specialises in this asset class and is making it easily accessible for individuals to participate and invest into this sector through their fund platform. One of the strong attractions to invest in this asset class is that it has proven to countercyclical and resilient in recent recessions. It is also linked to the Higher Education Sector which is in strong demand globally, placing supply pressure on students when sourcing quality accommodation close to their university or college. This is prevalent from the recent rush back to university for the 2021/2022 academic year. The UK has shown record number of applications for university places and the same has taken place across other regions.
