‘During the national commemoration of Remembrance Day we remember all – civilians and soldiers – who have been killed or murdered in the Kingdom of the Netherlands or anywhere else in the world in war situations or during peacekeeping operations since the outbreak of the Second World War.’
Everyone is welcome to Remembrance Day ceremony on May 4 at Kranji War Memorial, which will be an in-person event again.
During the ceremony, four students will read their own poems and there will be speeches by Ambassador Margriet Vonno and HSL-principal Menno Meines. This will be followed by the wreath-laying and two minutes of silence. After the remembrance ceremony, children can place flowers on the graves of the fallen soldiers.
Time: 6:00 – 6:30pm (make sure you arrive before 6pm)
